I’m at Belk and there is a EL gwp presale for pickup on June 14. It’s a 7 piece gift including a summer tote bag (pink bag with smiley faces and rainbows etc). It reminds me of things I had as a teenager, but I like it 🙂

I could be wrong but I am trying to remember patterns from previous years and doesn’t Lancome usually have a GWP not long after their May friends and family sale?
I think it’s usually a summer themed gift with a tote bag. But I am not entirely positive on this.
It kind of makes sense that they’d be doing a Summer gift soon since Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer and June is just around the corner.
Could be just wishful thinking though LOL!!
I know I usually see a Summer GWP at the Lancome site every year but I can’t remember if it is in June pretty much right after their 25%-30% off sale which is going on right now or if it happens more towards July.

They do usually have one! But I couldn’t find confirmation so I was hesitant to include it on the short list. I hope they have one this year.

The pattern with Lancome that I have noticed is that they have a Friends and Family Sale right before they launch a GWP. Last year they had a GWP starting on June 2nd.
I always thought they did this so that customers that don’t care about a GWP could enjoy a sale, and people like me that LOVE those sample sized freebies get the GWP right after. But that’s just me thinking that, I don’t really know why they follow that pattern.
The next GWP that they usually have, after the summer one, is usually the first week in October.
I hope they have one in June!😃 It’s been slim pickings with GWPs this year with Lancome!

Thanks for your reply! I see we are noticing the same thing. Because that pattern does sound familiar and I remember for the last 4 or so years at least I’ve been seeing the same thing as you are seeing.
And I am just like you, I usually would rather have the free gifts rather than get the sale discounts on the products.
Except this time around, I did buy from the 30% off sale twice (yes, I am a definite beauty product addict, LOL) and I also plan on placing an order of just enough to qualify for the GWP right after the sale when the GWP begins.
But normally it’s one or the other and in most cases it is the GWP that I will purchase during.
I agree with you too, the Lancome GWP’s have been kind of scarce this year and I am thinking it may be because there are some stores that are no longer carrying Lancome (we were talking about that last year on this website because we had heard that Lancome was pulling out of certain department store chains).
Plus Lord & Taylor retail stores do not exist anymore and I do not believe they have any Lancome products on their website that they, as far as I know, are still running. If they do have any, it must be a very small amount, because I didn’t see any when I visited the site last Summer.

In these times that we live in it is always important to me to follow one of the things that the Benefit Cosmetics company taught me long ago: That “Laughter Is The Best Cosmetic.” They have that slogan printed on some of their cosmetic bags and I have always found that it is very true. So I always try to make people laugh whenever I can.
You are very right, beauty products are a great thing to be addicted to. They make us feel good about ourselves.
And compared to some of the other addictions out there, as long as we are not going deep into debt because of it LOL, it is one of the safest addictions we could possibly have.
Better yet, it can even be healthy for us, since skincare is important for our health and well being!

Hey Debbie, and everyone, If you’re around here and see this: I just got an email from Lancome saying they were starting their free gift.
It started a lot later than we originally thought.
It is going on through the 11th of July and the minimum spend is $42.
The bag looks kind of familiar and the gift is a set gift, no options from the looks of this email.
You will get a silver cosmetic bag, a Juicy Tube, a Renergie day cream, a lipstick, a cleanser and a blush. This gift looks very, very familiar and I think we have seen at least the bag before either on the Lancome website or elsewhere.
With a makeup purchase you will also get a foundation sample.
Just thought I’d let everyone know in case you’re up for a free Lancome GWP.

I received the Clinique GWP from Macy’s which should include a foundation brush but in both my online orders, foundation brush was missing. I felt so cheated that I had to return everything.
That’s so disappointing, I’m so sorry that happened to you! Unfortunately popular items sold out early and Macy’s did a poor job of communicating that they were no longer available. I hope there is a future GWP that you can get and like even more!
I just got an email from Clinique saying that they are doing a free 8-piece gift with a $45 purchase. They also have a couple of step-ups with this one.
The bag that comes with it is really cute for Spring and you get to pick some of the items that go into your gift. 🙂

I just received the Estee Lauder GWP that Bloomingdale’s is doing.
I got the glow option which comes with the lip liner and lipstick. The lip shades are gorgeous and the bag that the gift comes in is so cute. 🙂
