Ever since last night I have been trying to shop beauty items on the Macy’s website and every time I try to add a product to my cart it says that there are technical difficulties and it says if I keep having the same problem then I can order by phone.
I also can’t sign into the site because when I try it says there is a problem on their end.
Anyone else here having the same problem?
I just got a very lucky deal while buying an Estee Lauder item on the Macy’s website. They are doing a free gift with a $39.50 purchase plus 15% off beauty right now.
I ordered one Estee Lauder blush that only ended up coming to $34 which is almost $5 less than the minimum spend and they still let me have the free gift. In fact they actually gave me two of the same gift because when I looked at my cart they had added two gifts to my cart.
The only thing is according to their website you are supposed to be able to pick between a lipstick gift or a lip gloss gift and I was automatically given two lip gloss sets without the option to choose.
I would have preferred the lipstick set but the lip gloss set is still really nice too and I do like it.
Plus receiving not only one gift but TWO gifts for less than the minimum spend is really a deal that can’t be beat. So I am very happy!

Great find! I tried adding things to my Macy’s cart. It said free gift with EL purchase under the items, but never showed any free gift. Wondering if maybe they ran out.
Yes, if the gift does not appear in cart, unfortunately it means they did sell out.
I received my order from Estee Lauder today including the mystery GWP that they were running last week.
I was very pleased with everything that came in the gift. I had a funny feeling after I ordered it that it would end up being a GWP that was offered in the past and as it turned out I was absolutely right.
It was one of the GWPs that came in one of the travel themed cosmetic bags that they were putting out last year.
It had a cleanser, a day cream, night repair serum, a lip liner, a mascara and a lipstick in Rebellious Rose (which is the shade you will see most often in their gifts).
Since I spent at least $50 I also got two deluxe travel size items of my choice and I picked an eye cream and a night cream.
I haven’t used Estee Lauder for my skincare routine in quite some time and I look forward to trying out the products that I received. 🙂

I went ahead and ordered just enough product from Estee Lauder to qualify for the one-day 7 Piece surprise gift offer that they were running. I usually don’t do mystery gifts because I really like to see what I’m getting but this time I thought I’d try something different and I am excited to see what the gift will be. Estee Lauder puts out some very nice products so I am sure I will be happy with whatever it is that is included in the gift. 🙂

I remember a while back seeing the Clinique GWP that Macy’s is running again but from what it looks like the minimum spend is a bit more this time around. I am not positive but it seems like it. Nice gift though.
Yes this one has made a few appearances! I don’t know why they do it, but when they bring “back” a GWP the buy-in is almost always more?
I put in an order with Macy’s so I could get the GWP that they have going on right now. I received it today and it’s a really nice gift. I love all of the products and the bag that comes with it is very nice as well. I hope to see some other stores have a Lancome GWP soon. I notice lately that I don’t see quite as many as I used to.

I noticed that too, that there aren’t very many Lancome GWPs lately. I have a sinking feeling about Lancome, that something is up. They also are discontinuing the entire line of La Nuit Tresor perfume, which is a very popular line. The 1oz bottle sells out when they have it back in stock. It’s still sold in France and the UK though. It doesn’t make sense to discontinue a product that makes them so much money.
I wonder if other people have noticed other popular Lancome products disappearing. I’ve just been keeping up with the perfume, and people are furious.

I used to buy a lot of their single eyeshadows that used to come in a wide array of colors. But recently their eyeshadow singles are available only in very limited shades and it looks like they are phasing them out. Maybe just selling out what they have left and that will be the last that we see of the product.
I certainly am getting the same feeling that you have about the company, that something could be up.

Lancome.com’s GWP today is different from the past gifts. They don’t give you a choice on anything, and automatically add your gift when you check out. I love all the samples this time, but some people might wish they were able to choose. This is how the gifts used to be many years ago. Maybe this will fix the problem of missing samples in our packages because the gift is already pre-assembled.😃

Actually, I kind of like it! Macy’s has started doing something like this, only they give you a choice of two pre-assembled samples in the main gift. But only one choice in the step-up. It keeps things from getting complicated, and from having missing samples.😃
Yes I have heard about people having issues when ordering direct from Lancome – not getting the items they ordered or gift items, etc. and bad customer service. Is that still the case?
I have not heard from anyone in several months regarding issues with Lancome. Hopefully they got everything resolved!

That’s good to hear – I placed my order today but I’ve just been reading on Facebook how people are livid about not receiving their gifts even after calling to complain. I hope I don’t have any issues especially when I could’ve ordered from Macys and got the GWP there – and I have a reliable person there and I know I would not have any issues ordering through her – oh well pray for me!

Oh my goodness! That’s terrible! I noticed that Lancome changed their GWP TWICE! They must have run out and are giving gifts they still had in stock. The new GWPs look like old gifts from the past.
I always try to order the first day of the GWP. Lancome usually has a GWP mid January, the beginning of April, sometime in the summer (this one floats around), and the beginning of October. They have a pattern that I noticed too……they have a huge sale right before the GWP. I always thought it was to let customers who don’t care about the GWP have a chance to buy product before the GWP starts.😃

Yes, I’m afraid customer service remains horrendous. I’ve tried 3 times to get a Lash Idole replaced, and finally I gave up. The wiper gets pushed down into the product tube with no way to get it out.

Lancome has gone back to the choose one or another gift rather than the build a gift, which has been around since 2000 or so. Lancome used to have lovely refillable compacts to purchase and beautiful beaded handbags as gifts in the 90s. They also had an “anti-cellulite” soap that worked really well as a moisturizer and fit into a round container that could be used in the shower. Their products in the States have a limited availability window and are discontinued regularly. I liked the Energie de Vie line that was discontinued. I love the single color design shadows and unscented color design lipsticks, and I hope that these are not headed for the last chance aisle.
The Lancome box is so disappointing this year. The pallet is… ? limited? underwhelming? Fewer products overall compared to last year’s box. (The reviews on Nordstrom’s website totally pan it.)
The eye make-up remover must be so cheap to produce – every box, GWP, etc. seems to include a great big bottle of it.
It does seem to be disappointing to a lot of folks this year! But it is still a really good value, and for those who have never tried one before, still a lot of fun!
Is that really it for Clinique’s holiday blockbuster? Seems… Underwhelming. :-/
In the past they have offered two sets each year. The next one should be more makeup focused? But I haven’t been able to find any confirmation or previews yet!
Looks like the next one to be released will be Clinique Best & Brightest with a round peppermint zippered case due to be on counters 11/19, but it is all skincare items except for mascara and lip. I have a photo but I don’t know how to send it.

I wish they put something new in the holiday blockbuster beauty boxes. Estee lauder looks pretty much the same. Lancome beauty box in Asian countries look more interesting than US version in previous years with essence and tonic. I thought this year boxes it would be more interesting
