Just now I was looking on the Macy’s website and they were offering a Lancome cosmetics bag with any $80 Lancome purchase but it does not include any products. It’s just the bag by itself and to me it doesn’t seem quite worth spending $80 in order to receive it.
I am definitely looking forward to there being some better GWP options available.
I think it helps that all Lancome products are 20% off right now at Macy’s. But yes, just a free bag is not exactly exciting!

I talked to my Lancome BA at Macy’s and she said that the GWP that was for May (with the tote bag) is being bumped to the August GWP slot. And the August GWP is going to be bumped to the Spring GWP slot in February. She showed me a picture of the GWP with the tote bag and it’s super cute with blue and white stripes. It will be something fun to look forward to!!😃

Growing up department store cosmetics NEVER went on sale. Discounts on products only started recently. Between the bonuses, discounts, heavy ad spending I’m surprised they are surviving.

I remember gifts with purchase at Lauder and Clinique counters when I was in college fifty years ago! Like many people, I buy ahead and time my purchases to coincide with the gifts.
Lancome.com is also not giving reward points for orders from Lancome.com or receipts for Lancome purchases at stores. It’s a bummer because it would be nice to get something free with my points. They also weren’t giving free samples with your order the last time I ordered from them a couple of weeks ago.🙁 They aren’t obligated to give us points or samples, but it’s such a nice perk during this crazy time.😃

As an FYI, I ordered a Lancome eye cream from NORDSTOM which would also include the Lancome free gift. The eye cream just arrived. No gift or even a packing slip included in the shipping box. I’m done ordering from stores online. This is the second shipment during Covid that arrived incomplete; the first being from Lord & Taylor. No need to wonder why both chains are bankrupt and closing stores. What shoddy service.
I’m so sorry that happened to you. You can return the eye cream for free, if you want to, since you did not receive the free gift. It doesn’t ease your disappointment but at least you could try again elsewhere. I sure hope things get back to normal soon.
When Estée Lauder online had the buy one get one free ANR I ordered; a few days later had an email saying the bonus was out of stock and I could reply to the email or call for a replacement bonus item. Emails have an automatic reply saying they won’t be answered and to call. Waited an hour to talk to a very nice lady who found a replacement ANR bonus for me. 45 mins later had an email that my order shipped and it came without the bonus. Called again and waited two hours and again a very kind lady assured me one would be sent out and I would receive and email 24-48 hours telling me so…four days ago. I’m going to wait a week and if it doesn’t show up I’m going to call (and wait) and return the original I bought. I only purchased it because there was a free one! 🙄

The increase for a 6 piece GWP with a” normal” minimum of $37.50-45.00 max to $100.00 dollars is way to much!! I am looking forward to the “old change! In the meantime I have to buy somewhere else even though I love Lancôme !
I was kind of shocked that Macy’s has set the minimum spend to $100 for their current GWP. That’s a little much and it’s only a six piece gift.
I had really been looking forward to a new Spring Lancome gift which usually comes with a tote bag and was a little disappointed to see that right now the gift that they are offering is one I’ve already seen before.
Hopefully something new comes out soon and with a more reasonable minimum spend.

the huge price jump in it! Please bring the “normal” price of $37-$39 dollars

Sorry to hear of the problems with the Lancome site – + I think it’s outrageous of them to up the minimum purchase requirement from $39 & change to $100.00 to get the GWP. Do they not realize or care that there is a Covid-19 crisis causing millions of people to be out of work – many of whom might be loyal customers who can only buy during these promos?! May make me rethink buying from them even though am fond of their lipstick – also liked their spf 50 foundation in a compact that suddenly disappeared. Clinique’s version same thing – vanished. Can only get similar product through Estee Lauder now. Maybe next time I do get Lancome stuff will be through Macys or HSN – yes, they do carry some of it!
Is anyone else shocked that the Lancome GWP at Macys is with a $100 purchase and not a $37-$39 purchase like normal? That seems crazy. I’m not taking that offer.
It is a huge jump. When they “bring back” a GWP the price is often higher, but I confess I don’t remember a jump that high!
Yeah, I saw the $100 price and decided against buying it. I actually have two of the gifts from February and didn’t want another one. I am hoping that when retail opens up here in Ohio on the 12th next week, that Macy’s will allow Lancome to have their typical tote bag GWP that they usually have in May.😃
