Are the products in Clinique bonuses that come with cardboard boxes (instead of a cosmetic bag, as in the Jan/Feb GWP direct from Clinique) really any better? If I recall correctly it lists a higher dollar value. I’ve never tried some of those newer items but I sure don’t like a cardboard box in place of of a pretty cosmetic bag.
The products are the same, the only difference in those GWPs is that instead of a pretty bag, you get a box. I agree with you completely I would rather get a bag!
Both of the original GWP’s direct from Lancome are sold out but I just looked now and they are offering two different choices of gifts and a pink cosmetic bag.
There are similar products they are offering for gifts but different shades. Instead of the single blush it is a trio in Rose Flush and the gift option with the eyeshadow palette has Petal Pusher as the shade.
The option with the blush comes with both a lipstick in Wannabe and a juicy tube lip gloss in Miracle.
The option with the eyeshadow only has a juicy tube lipgloss for a lip product (the shade is Melon) but you will also get a mascara primer instead of a second lip product like they have in the other gift.
There are also skincare products included in both gifts as usual.
I believe that today is the last day of the promotion so head over to Lancome.com real quick!
The minimum spend is still $45 so that has not changed.

Funny how most if not all of Estee Lauder’s GWPs have Rebellious Rose as the lipstick shade.
I remember years ago they used to have about 5 maybe even 6 different shades they used to put into their gifts. One being Tiger’s Eye, another being Wild Ginger and this other nice shade which was called Bois de Rose. They also had Pink Parfait.
I kind of wish they’d start switching it up a little bit with the lipsticks and offering more shades again. Because for the last year or couple of years it seems like every time I see a GWP from that company it’s always the same lipstick shade and it would just be nice to get to try something different for a change.
All that being said, I do appreciate the GWP offers that they put out, their gifts are awesome and they have lots of great products in them.

Yes! They always use that shade so I avoid gwp that have lip stuff now. I have to give away the lipsticks bc they are always that shade. It has been happening for at least 2 years now.
Thanks for the reply Alisa! I have been doing the same thing with some of the gifts that have the lipstick in them. I have gotten some of them but I was receiving too many of the same shade of lipstick and did end up giving some of them away. The other products in the gifts are great but I do wish they’d get away from that specific shade. Even if every 4th or 5th gift offer they put out had that shade but the other gifts had some other shades it would be fine. It would certainly make me want to take them up on some more of their free gift offers. Thanks again for replying! 🙂
I’ve noticed Lancome and Clinique seem to do that a lot, too. Luckily it’s usually a shade I like, but not always. For me, the lip color is often the defining factor of whether or not I’ll get the GWP.
Hi Liz! I agree, Lancome and Clinique do that a lot as well. I am glad you usually are able to get a shade that you like included in your gifts! I usually get a great shade too but like we say, they are mostly the same ones repeated in most gifts.
Those 2 companies seem to be offering maybe three different lipstick shades which is certainly better than just one shade but still makes me end up having to give a lot away. Because especially with Lancome I do get a lot of gifts.
And just like you, the lipstick shade also does help me decide whether or not I will be getting a particular GWP. That and the bag that is included with the gift.
I did notice that Lancome is making a lot of different limited edition eyeshadow palettes and putting them in the gifts which is great. Thanks for the reply! And enjoy any future GWPs that you may get! 🙂
Yes, I’ve been noticing it for a good while. The lipsticks are my favorite thing to get free, but I have multiples of the ones they’ve been including. I don’t really need much anymore. I may not live long enough to use up my stash. So when I check out an offer and see the same old shades, many times I just pass.

I agree, since the lipsticks are always full size it is an awesome thing to get for free. It would be nice to have at least a couple of different shades offered though so I definitely can see why you sometimes pass on the gifts. Sometimes I do the same thing unless I really love, love, love the included cosmetic bag. Or if there is an eyeshadow or blush palette that I’ve just gotta have LOL.
Because these companies do make excellent eyeshadows and even skincare products which are usually a big part of the gifts.
But sometimes, just like you, I will skip getting the gift if I see a lipstick shade offered from a company that is a shade that I have too much of already. I just gave several to a friend of mine because I had too many repeat shades.

I purchased the bonus from the Estee Lauder website and I’m very pleased with the items! With Covid mask wearing, I’m unfortunately not wearing lipstick now.

Just like you I am limited to when I can wear lipstick since I am out and about more than I am at home. At home I do wear lipstick just to try and use up some of the lipsticks that I have here.
I really like the bag that the upcoming Dillard’s Estee Lauder GWP has with it so I am seriously considering putting in an order for that GWP as well. One of the choices has two lip products and the other one only has one so I am going to order pretty much once the gift is released since I want the one with only one lip product and I am thinking that option might sell out faster than the other one since not as many people are wearing colored lip products at the moment and are sticking mostly to clear lip balms if using any lip products at all.
That new Lancome gift with purchase at Bloomingdale’s looks good. And I do remember the tote that comes with it from back in May of 2014. By the way, does anyone know which shade of blush it is that comes in this gift?

You’re right, it definitely looks like it may be one of those two shades. I have had both before and the photo does look very similar to those shades.

Oh my gosh, wow, I just ordered a bunch of Clinique things from Macy’s today (10/15). I think it was the last day for some of the specials, but it feels like I got ALL the gifts! I spent $96.50 on regular Clinique items, then I qualified for a 6-piece best loved Clinique set ($15 with any Macys.com purchase), then I got the free 7-piece Clinique gift with any $31 purchase, plus the “Get more” 2-piece add-on with any $55 Clinique purchase, plus the “Best of Clinique” purchase for $49.50, which pushed me into the “Get even more” category so I qualified for a free tote or All About Eyes. Wheeee! I feel a bit sick about spending so much on makeup, but happily several of these will be holiday gifts so I guess it’s OK, right?! Hi Lisa, in an email received two days ago from Lancome, they’ve said that this year’s Holiday Beauty Box will have same colors as far as products go but only the cometic bag will differ (metallic chrome or pink). The set is already available for VIP Elite Members for online purchase directly from Lancome (though an email link). Hope this helps others!

Excited to see the holiday blockbusters coming out. Any word on the Elizabeth Arden box? I regret not getting it last year! I usually get sucked in my Lancome and then end up hating the eyeshadow colors (really – bright teal?) and regretting my decision.
You prompted me to go and look, and I could not find a preview to share! Last year it came out on October 30 (but so did Estee Lauder, and they’ve moved that released up again this year, so I’m not sure?). I will do my best to find out and let you guys know as soon as I find anything!
