Nordstrom has some nice beauty products on sale, online only, until they sell out. Two great value sets are available: The Laura Mercier Renaissance Collection (a $167 value, originally it was $65, its now only $38.90; it includes a full size Undercover Pot in UC-3, alone a $34 value, plus several other items) and the Smashbox After Hours Collection (a $161 value, originally it was $59, its now only $34.90). This year’s Dior Deluxe Travel Palette is available now at Nordstrom (and probably soon at other department stores) and is such a pretty thing. It includes six eyeshadows, a DiorBlush, an allover face highlighter, and deluxe miniatures of Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect in Organdi Pink and Diorshow Iconic Mascara in Black. Its priced at $75, is it too early to make a Christmas wish list?

Dior Catwalk Set at Sephora

There was some sad, sad news in the beauty world yesterday, and if you’re reading it here first I’m sorry to be the one to tell you that Estee Lauder Companies Inc is shutting down the Prescriptives line. You can read more about it here (article in the Wall Street Journal) and here (Reuters news), and they have a little blurb on the Prescriptives site itself with a phone number to call with any questions. For now they are continuing to sell their products online but by the end of January, Prescriptives will be gone.
