So much to spend our money on this month, my goodness! I hope it slows down because next week I am going on my first of two vacations this summer, and I will not be able to post while I am away. Yesterday-June 9 at Macy’s Herald Square, I just got a lovely Lancome PWP for 32.50. I haven’t seen it online- with a blue/white striped canvas tote, mascara, makeup remover, lipstick, exfoliating body scrub, gel bronzing self-tanner and eye/cheek palette.
Also, I’m looking forward to the bergdorf goodman treat!

I’m also a GWP addict but note of caution: When they say “$135 value” I believe the value is based on the combined retail price of the FULL SIZE versions of the samples included with the gift.
I’m happy to get the gift but I’m not tempted by the supposed value of it.
Same goes for purchase with purchase. I never go for the PWP’s. Seems to me like I’m paying for something I’m not getting: pay $29 for a $135 “value”? Hmmmm.
PWP’s always seem dodgy to me!
I don’t know about that, usually when I’ve calculated values myself on PWPs or GWPs its based on an ounce by ounce cost of what is included in the set. And this one includes a full size All About Eyes, a full size mascara, a full size lip gloss, a decent size moisturizer, big eye shadows, and the nice tote. Even if its not the stated value, its still totally worth it if like me you use All About Eyes and that is $29 anyway so you pay just $3.50 more for all the rest of the goodies! (Hey! I just noticed the price went up on All About Eyes from $28.50 to $29… have other Clinique products increased in price lately and I just haven’t noticed?)
I disagree. The vendors aren’t comparing the trial sizes to full size items for value. They proportion it – i.e. if a 1oz moisturizer is $80 and their sample is .25oz, that’s a $20 value (even though, let’s face it, no one would pay $20 retail for a tiny little moisturizer). Oftentimes, the gifts include full size lipsticks in gwp packaging that they will calculate at full retail value, which is fair since you do get the entire item, just in a less fancy packaging. When they say ‘$135 value’, it doesn’t mean anyone would actually pay $135 for it, it just means if you break down all the pieces and calculate their proportional retail price, it should (and I think it will) add up to $135. As to whether or not it’s worth it, well, that’s up to the individual buyer.
